Woolco #6283 was a Woolco discount department store located at Galvez Plaza, 6402 Broadway Street in Galveston, Texas.[1] The store opened on September 12, 1973, and was tied with Woolco 6293 for the 11th Woolco in the Houston area, and the 36th Woolco in Texas.[2] The store ultimately closed on January 15, 1983.[3][4]
