After doing a market study, Kmart determined a home improvement store was better suited for the area.
Kmart closed on April 26,1986.
Builders Square opened on July 3 1986.
Builders Square closed all their Northeast Ohio locations in 1999.
Tops Markets bought the site a year later and opened on August 30 2000.
After declining sales, Tops closed in 2004 and the site is still vacant.
