Kmart #3497 was a Kmart discount department store located at Park Plaza I, 4815 Highway 6 North in Houston, Texas.[1] The store opened on November 15, 1979, and was tied with Kmart 3404 for the 114th Kmart in Texas.[2] In 1997, the store would be converted to one of the first 24 Big Kmarts in Texas, with a grand re-opening ceremony on November 14.[3] The store ultimately closed on June 2, 2002.[4][5]
