Kmart #3497 was a Kmart discount department store located at Park Plaza I, 4815 Highway 6 North in Houston, Texas.[1] The store opened on November 15, 1979.[2] In 1992, the store would be remodeled, with a grand reopening ceremony on July 26.[3] In 1997, the store would be converted to one of the first 24 Big Kmarts in Texas, with a grand reopening ceremony on November 14.[4] The store closed on June 2, 2002.[5]
