The store opened on November 8, 1962 as one of the first three Kmart's in Texas.[1] In 1992, the store would be remodeled with a grand re-opening ceremony on May 31.[2] The store closed on or around May 3, 1995 when it was replaced by Kmart 7751.[3][4]
