Kmart #4094 was a Kmart discount department store located at K mart Plaza, 5702 Van Fleet Street in Houston, Texas. The store opened on November 11, 1965 as the fifth Kmart in the Houston area, Ninth Kmart in Texas, and the 114th Kmart overall.[1] The store closed around February 1986. It was the Fifth Kmart in Texas to close, and the first Kmart in the city of Houston to close. The building was torn down between 2003 and 2004.[2]
