Kmart #4094 was a Kmart discount department store located at K mart Plaza, 5702 Van Fleet Street in Houston, Texas.[1] The store opened on November 11, 1965 as the fifth Kmart in the Houston area, the ninth Kmart in Texas, and one of three stores to open that day for a total of 114 Kmarts overall.[2] The store closed around February 1986, making it the fifth Kmart in Texas to close, and the first in the city of Houston to close. The building was torn down between 2003 and 2004.[3]
