Kmart #4197 was a Kmart discount department store located at Kmart Plaza, 12401 South Post Oak Road in Houston, Texas.[1] The store opened on July 13, 1967 as the sixth Kmart in the Houston area, the 15th Kmart in Texas, and one of two stores to open that day for a total of 191 Kmarts overall.[2] The store closed around April 1991.[3]
