Kmart #4236 was a Kmart discount department store located at Kmart Plaza, 8150 Southwest Freeway in Houston, Texas.[1] The store opened on November 16, 1967.[2] It was one of nine stores to open that day for a total of 216 Kmarts overall, and was tied with Kmart 4223 for the eighth Kmart in the Houston area, and the 19th Kmart in Texas. The store closed on or around June 25, 1995, when it was replaced by Kmart 4973.[3][4]
