Kmart #4259 was a Kmart discount department store located at Kmart Plaza, 4812 South Freeway in Fort Worth, Texas.[1] The store opened on August 15, 1968 as the first Kmart in the city of Fort Worth,[2] the 20th Kmart in Texas, and one of two stores to open that day for a total of 243 Kmarts overall. The store ultimately closed on August 29, 1995.[3] Prior to Kmart, the site was previously occupied by the Southside Drive-In Theatre.[4]
