The store opened on July 23, 1970 as the 336th Kmart overall.[1] In 1992, the store would be remodeled with a grand re-opening ceremony on April 30 of that year.[2] The store ultimately closed on May 7, 1995 when it was replaced by Kmart 4959.[3]
