Kmart #4339 was a Kmart discount department store located at 2470 Mission Street Southeast in Salem, Oregon. The store opened on April 30, 1970. It was the first Kmart ever to open within the state of Oregon.[1] On January 14, 1971, a large section of the building's roof collapsed under heavy snowfall, forcing the store to close while extensive repairs were carried out.[2] The store reopened on June 24, 1971. The store still has front windows up since 1997.[3] At the end, this store has closed its doors on November 19, 2017.[4]
