Kmart #7297 was a Kmart discount department store located at 325 Mexico Boulevard in Brownsville, Texas.[1] The store opened on September 21, 1978 as the first Kmart in Brownsville, the third Kmart in the Lower Rio Grande Valley area, the 70th Kmart in Texas, and the 1,456th Kmart overall.[2] The store ultimately closed on August 29, 1995.[3][4]
