Kmart #9700 was a Kmart discount department store located at 2802 South Business Highway 281 in Edinburg, Texas.[1] The store opened on October 30, 1980 as the 132nd Kmart in Texas, and the 1,824th Kmart overall.[2] In September 1994, it was announced the store would close on or around January 15, 1995.[3][4]
