The original Walmart Discount Store #536 was a Walmart discount department store located at Radford Hills Shopping Center, 841 North Judge Ely Boulevard in Abilene, Texas.^[1] The store opened on April 26, 1983,^[5] with a formal grand opening ceremony on May 3.^[6] The store closed on or around October 31, 1987, when it relocated to San Jacinto Place.
