Kmart #4236 was a Kmart discount department store located at Kmart Plaza, 8150 Southwest Freeway in Houston, Texas.[1] The store opened on November 16, 1967 as one of nine stores to open that day for a total of 216 Kmarts overall, and was tied with Kmart 4223 for the eighth Kmart in the Houston area, and the 19th Kmart in Texas.[2] The store closed on or around June 25, 1995, when it was replaced by Kmart 4973.[3][4]
