The store opened on October 31, 1968,[1] and was tied with Kmart 4267 for the eighth store in the DFW area and the 259th Kmart overall. The store ultimately closed on December 31, 1983.[2] The building was torn down for Lowe's Home Improvement 515, PetSmart, and Extra Space Storage.[3]
