Kmart #4354 was a Kmart discount department store located at Kmart Plaza, 6701 University Avenue in Lubbock, Texas.[1] The store opened on May 18, 1970 as the 28th Kmart in Texas,[2] and the 357th Kmart overall. It was originally planned to open on May 14,[3] but the opening was delayed due to a major tornado that struck the city on May 12. The store ultimately closed on July 9, 1995, when it was replaced by Kmart #4972.[4][5]
